McCann’s Irish Oatmeal presents The Hooley’s Hooley. Welcome to the best podcast in the world if you like stories of oatmeal and booze and karate. Pain does not exist in the dojo or studio this week! Bill opens the show reminiscing about his first time as a groomsman in his friend Keith’s wedding. Bill self professes that he is quite a dancer and made a big impression at the reception. Clothing/fashion is once again discussed as Paddy interjects during wedding talk to address people that show up to weddings without dress attire. Bill somehow finds a way to include actor Elijah Wood into this. Bill has a thing with this Elijah Wood guy! Wood is now approaching Larry Flynt status on the show for most mentions. The gang takes on the Harvey Weinstein story and Clay informs us that Harvey has a pet monkey named Douglas and the two are currently in a drunken haze at a French villa watching the E channel. Halloween is coming and Paddy is helping his son decide on a costume. Paddy is thinking of dressing his son as Johnny Lawrence from the film “The Karate Kid”. Some karate talk ensues and  Clay then suggests Paddy’s son dress up as comedian Richard Lewis! Another episode that has no rhyme or reason to it. Tune In!

McCann’s Irish Oatmeal presents the Houli’s Hooley. Welcome to the city of Chicago’s finest show about nothing. Dream big hipsters and let us roll our sleeves up for ya!  Bill and Clay ran into each other this week in Wrigleyville of all places and they went hat shopping together! Bill bought three new hats to cover his beautiful dome. Paddy is getting noticed on the el by “time piece” enthusiasts. He had a hipster tell him that he loved his watch and it was mistaken for a Rolex. These things make Paddy nervous. The boys take a break and then come back for a long discussion about the term “bimbo” and what that means today. Bill is worried that all the young hipster girls are looking like 80s bimbos. Chill out Bill! Clay has suggested that Bill write a self help book called “Bimbos and Buttcheeks”. Paddy then tells a story about a legendary poster he won at a very young age at the Taste of Elmwood Park. This is one silly ass episode that features a famous jam by 80s hair metal band Whitesnake. McCann’s Irish Oatmeal presents The Houli’s Hooley. Welcome back to another week of amazing laughs and sweet sweet nothings. The boys weren’t affected by any hurricanes, but they do somehow roll hurricane talk into grammar school basketball talk. Hell yes! Who doesn’t love grammar school b-ball talk? Bill has started a new position at work and is struggling with remembering the names of his new clients. Paddy has suggested Bill use Kevin Trudeau’s Mega Memory to help himself. Apple has big announcements this week and Paddy is curious as to when Apple will be releasing the iPhone that allows it’s users to levitate. Clay suggests that Apple begin working with Mindfreak Criss Angel to get this started. Paddy is headed to Cancun for a wedding and has purchased some white v-neck t-shirts for the trip at a place Bill suggested called Foreman Mills. He’s very happy with them and Clay lets us know that Foreman Mills is a real family place; it’s where strippers buy their kids school clothes. This is another fun silly episode. Tune in!

McCann’s Irish Oatmeal presents the Houli’s Hooley. Welcome back to another week of fun and total silliness. Clay and his wife have welcomed a baby girl into their family! They have named their daughter Bevin. Bevin is a traditional gaelic name and was the name of Brian Boru’s mother and his daughter. New baby talk then transforms into some “Richard Gere” talk and the show goes insane from there. This is nothing new these days. Bill tells us this week that he is hoping to be vaporized at some point. Topics covered in this episode include: dental school, hurricane Irma, dinosaur deaths, Hollywood Diorama pitch sessions and the adventures of two lovebirds named Jimmy Dioramazonne and Kelly Tomato Head. McCann’s Irish Oatmeal presents The Houli’s Hooley. Welcome back to another week of Chicago’s most unstructured podcast. The gang is on edge this week as Clay is anxiously awaiting the birth of his third child. If it’s a boy and born on Saturday’s historical fight night; Paddy and Bill think he should be named Conor. The big talk this week is obviously the McGregor/Mayweather fight. There was an eclipse this last week and the gang discusses where they watched the action. The boys ponder this week how sophisticated their listeners are. Clay thinks that most of our listeners resemble aristocratic finance experts from the early part of the 20th century. Lawrence VonBitcoin is our number one fan! “Dork Fest”, is a convention idea the gang has concocted this week. You have to be a dork and be over 21! What is a dork anyway? Many other silly segues evolve this episode including grown men wearing baseball caps and a strange playground moderator the boys had in grammar school. Tune In!

Podcast: August 19, 2017

McCann’s Irish Oatmeal presents The Houli’s Hooley. The gang returns this week to discuss more insane and wacky ideas they have for the world. It’s once again been a crazy week of news stories and the gang shares their views on the media and the tragic event that occurred in Charlottesville. Paddy has entered the studio this week wearing a Grateful Dead t-shirt and Bill and Clay are quick to jump on him for it. Clay proclaims that you aren’t a real Grateful Dead fan unless your car smells like “feet”. Bill has witnessed what he believes may be the first Irish Super Hero. This super hero is named “The Emerald Soldier” and is a bouncer/doorman he encountered over the weekend. Paddy suggests this week that if President Trump wishes to keep the peace in our country he should show us all the “alien”. This alien is named “Doug” and lives in the basement of the White House. Another goofy episode. Enjoy!

Matt went on to study fiction writing and became a well known face in Chicago’s underground literary scene. Other topics on this episode include the paranormal and the emergence of sightings in Chicago of what people are saying is a bat like humanoid creature. This is a fun episode. Tune In!!
